Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Specialist to join our team at Pound Road, a supported living service in East Peckham, Kent. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs, including those with autism and mental health conditions.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring that each person's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Drive mobility vehicles and support individuals in the community, promoting their independence and inclusion.
Requirements
  • Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to drive mobility vehicles.
  • Have a good understanding of sensory needs and be able to adapt to different communication styles.
  • Be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Have a good sense of humor and a can-do attitude.
  • Be willing to support individuals with cooking and meal preparation.
  • Be proactive and able to work independently as part of a team.
