About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Anaesthetics Consultant to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. The successful candidate will have expertise in Obstetric Anaesthesia and a strong background in Anaesthetics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthesia services to patients in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anaesthesia services
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
  • Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Full and specialist GMC Registration in Anaesthetics with a Licence to Practice
  • Certificate of Completion of Training in anaesthetics or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration in Anaesthetics (or equivalent)
  • Or CESR or equivalent European Qualifications for Specialist Registration
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of anaesthetics (FRCA) (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Appropriate Higher Degree MD, PhD or MSc or equivalent
  • Broad based experience in Anaesthesia
  • Intermediate training in obstetric anaesthesia
  • Recent senior trainee, fellow or locum Consultant level experience in Anaesthesia (or equivalent)
