The Team Leader will oversee multiple teams and will operate on a five over seven rota, which includes on-call duties as scheduled. Shifts will comprise a blend of day shifts, back shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced childcare professional who appreciates the significance of trauma-informed care and aspires to work in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Qualifications:

· Significant experience in residential childcare, demonstrated in a managerial capacity.

· Proven ability to lead a team in supporting children and young people to achieve their educational, health, and wellbeing goals.

· Facilitate collaboration between teams, families, and external organizations to address the needs of children and young people.

· Familiarity with current legislation and policies, including the organization's strategic plan, GIRFEC, National Care Standards, SSSC codes of conduct, and UNCRC.

· Provide supervision and support to Assistant Service Managers within their designated services.

· Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, reflecting the school values of Trust, Support, and Resilience.

· Ensure the maintenance of a supportive and nurturing environment that meets high standards daily.

Requirements:

· A valid UK driving license and access to personal transport due to job requirements.

· Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a registered manager.

· Completion of SVQ Level 4 and progress towards Leadership and Management qualifications within the SSSC registration timeframe.

Desirable Qualifications:

· Degree in a relevant field.

· Qualification in Psychology.

· Registered Managers Award.

Additional Information:

This position is classified as Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Therefore, applicants barred from working with children or protected adults are ineligible to apply.

Successful candidates will be required to obtain PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children, with the associated costs covered by the candidate.
