About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Pricing and Actuarial Leadership to lead and grow our Pricing function. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with our business objectives and ensure accurate and timely delivery of pricing models.
- Actuarial Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to our actuarial team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality pricing models.
- Deal Pricing: Provide expert advice on deal pricing, rate, price adequacy, and binder deep dives, ensuring that our business is well-positioned to capitalize on new opportunities.
- Exposure Management: Oversee and enhance our exposure management process to ensure that catastrophe risk is understood, managed, and reflected in our decision-making.
- Account Performance: Direct account performance and market conditions monitoring, sharing insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Innovation: Explore novel data sources, alternative analytical tools, and techniques to further innovate on our internal approaches.
Requirements:
- Strong Stakeholder Management: Ability to build productive relationships with various stakeholders, including capital providers, coverholders, and brokers.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to credibly represent Pricing in a range of interactions, both internally and externally.
- Proven Management Experience: Adept at negotiating, prioritizing, and delegating, with a proven track record of building and optimizing control processes.
- Technical Leadership: Ability to provide technical leadership and thoughtful challenge to the business, as well as coaching for development and managing performance of the analyst team.
- Commercial Mindset: Embodies and fosters a commercial mindset and a culture of integrity, accountability, high-performance, and teamwork.
- Qualifications: Qualified member of the Institute of Actuaries or equivalent.
- Pricing Experience: Essential experience in pricing, with a strong understanding of pricing models and techniques.
- Technical Skills: Experience in and comfortable using programming languages such as SQL, Python, and VBA.
