About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage key projects within our team at EDF. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the full lifecycle of key projects, working in partnership with our key internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all actions taken are fully compliant with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Establish the baseline Scope, Quality, Schedule, and Cost for your projects and ensuring the MTP and ALR2 as well as other company reporting tools accurately reflect the Project position.
- Work closely with Architect Engineers as key members of your Project Team to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in a safe manner to meet or surpass the Project baseline cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Secure the required resource to meet project requirements, ensuring all involved are SQEP.
- Develop and conduct effective execution strategies to help in achieving the overall project objectives.
- Ensure effective project change control is implemented when significant changes to scope, schedule, or cost are identified.
- Maximise learning opportunities making full use of OpEx.
- Keep your stakeholders both internal and external informed and updated with performance, issues, and risks throughout.
- Ensure effective risk and issue mitigation.
Requirements
You will hold a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering or relevant discipline, while a degree would be advantageous. APMQ is essential.
You will be familiar with HSE and CDM legislation, able to demonstrate experience of managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ideally across a range of complex multi-discipline projects and environments.
You will also be proficient in the use of estimating, scheduling, programming, risk tools, and the use of Earned Value Analysis.
Management of an integrated project team including staff, agency, contract, and assigned functional support with evidence of working within environments with high quality and safety standards & culture.
Desirable Skills
- Engineering design, safety case, contract, and field execution strategies for project delivery.
- Large multi-discipline projects.
- Large complex multi-discipline contracts and the tender review process.
- Control of costs and change.
- Closing out of commercial claims and the associated negotiations.
- Front-end design and development of solutions.
- The design/construction interface to ensure a smooth transition/handover and how to address the issues which occur at this interface.
