Job Title: Lead Vehicle Interior Trim Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Vehicle Interior Trim Design Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of vehicle interior trim components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, cost, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of vehicle interior trim components, including concept creation, design note release, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet customer needs, are cost-effective, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction strategies, analyzing design changes and validating technical liability.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiating quotes, and ensuring timely delivery of components.
  • Contribute to new model development, lifecycle cost management, and technical cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Design or engineering qualification.
  • Previous automotive design and development experience.
  • Cost breakdown analysis and technical/commercial cross-functional team experience.
  • Prior knowledge of interior cabin parts/modules and manufacturing processes.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel globally.
  • CAD interrogation skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Working Hours and Pay:
  • Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
  • £27.00 per hour.
