**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Technical Consultant to join our team at Fintel. As a key member of our helpdesk team, you will provide expert support to our members from a compliance perspective, ensuring they meet regulatory standards regarding FCA regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct thorough research and investigations to provide accurate and timely responses to queries from our member firms.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry changes, and communicate this information to our members in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assist firms with the completion of RegData by advising on data gathering, completion, and cross-validation.
  • Review and provide guidance on financial promotions, disclosure documents, and stationery to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support firms with general queries regarding authorization and agency processes.

**Requirements**

  • Relevant financial services qualifications, such as a Level 4 Diploma.
  • Strong understanding of the UK financial services industry, including directly authorized firms.
  • Good working knowledge of financial products.
  • Excellent customer support skills, combining customer service with technical support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a good telephone manner and confident outbound calling skills.
  • Strong administration and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn new information and explain it to others.
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills, involving liaison with other internal departments.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Open to obtaining additional qualifications up to Chartered status.

  • Tax and trust qualification or equivalent experience in dealing with queries of this nature.
  • Discretionary fund management qualification or equivalent experience of dealing with queries of this nature.
