Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional planned care throughout the endoscopy patient pathway, collaborating with the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead to manage and organize care within the unit
  • Administer quality care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, adhering to your scope of practice
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards for flexible endoscopy services, including decontamination and clinical care
  • Continuously develop and refine your skills and knowledge in the field

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • Competence in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination, both basic and advanced
  • Completion of an Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination
  • Qualifications in Teaching, Assessing, or Mentorship
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory bodies (e.g., Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM)
  • Proficiency in Maths and English, with GCSE grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
