We are seeking a skilled CCTV Operator to join our team at OCS Group. As a CCTV Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor CCTV systems to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Communicate with security teams and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
  • Manage the FM Radio System to ensure effective communication between security teams and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor life safety systems, including fire alarms, intruder systems, and sprinkler systems, to ensure the safety of people and property.
  • Initiate actions to protect life and structure as required by life safety systems, including evacuations and search plans.
  • Answer and direct enquiries via the Intercom and Telephone Systems in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Produce reports on false alarms and response times to ensure continuous improvement of security operations.
  • Accurately record events, incidents, and evacuations in the occurrence book to maintain a comprehensive record of security activities.
  • Provide a superior level of service to visitors, retailers, and contractors to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
  • Be observant and take action to prevent security incidents and ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Possess the ability to provide results or resolutions to problems in a positive and courteous manner.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements, fire regulations, company policies, and on-site procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Undertake other duties as required by senior staff members.
Requirements:
  • Must be educated to O'Level / GCSE or NVQ level 3 standard.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
  • Must hold a valid SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) Licence.
  • First Aid at Work Certificate.
  • SIA Guarding or Door Supervisors licence IOSH managing safely.
  • Experience in a similar environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good I.T skills (Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Multitasking (Critical competency).
