We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at JAM Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structural/civils design to support Nuclear projects, inspections, and construction site support on projects within the UK and potentially overseas.

The Role

As a Senior Civil and Structural Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering structural/civils design to support Nuclear projects, inspections, and construction site support on projects within the UK and potentially overseas.
  • Conducting concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
  • Preparing calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, and inter-discipline design coordination and supervision.
  • Performing analysis and design using engineering software such as Staad.

You will also be responsible for the management of project delivery, including developing resourcing profiles.

  • Degree Qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil/Structural Engineer
  • Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
  • Experience within the nuclear industry and design for seismic loading
  • Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards

In addition, you should have an understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards.
