About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on an outreach basis, visiting educational institutions and community venues to raise awareness of substance misuse services and provide advice and support to young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver group work and provide one-to-one support to young people at risk of substance misuse or affected by parental substance misuse.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote our services and engage with hard-to-reach young people.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement outreach programs that meet the needs of our target audience.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in substance misuse, youth work, psychology, counselling, mental health, or social care.
  • Experience of working with at-risk or vulnerable people in a community setting.
  • Ability to deliver group work and provide one-to-one support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children, confidentiality, consent, and mental capacity.
  • Flexible approach to work, including varying hours and locations.
