About the Role:

FM Conway is currently recruiting for an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Fitter to join our Plant and Workshop division based out of our depot. Working within our busy and vibrant team, you will work on our wide range of commercial vehicles, maintaining our large fleet of HGV & LGV transport to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain our large fleet of HGV & LGV vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Complete paperwork following any maintenance activities.
  • Work as part of a team or remotely and adapt your skills to other areas when required.
  • Work safely in compliance with risk assessments and method statements and be willing to challenge any unsafe practices.

Requirements:

  • Professional and confident candidate with experience in commercial vehicles and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • Full UK driving license, City and Guilds 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent NVQ in standard motor mechanics.
  • Knowledge of cranes, white lining equipment and hydraulic systems is desirable.
