About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field-Based Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Universal Business Team. As a key member of our preventative maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting LOLER inspections, repairs, and maintenance on care home equipment across South East and West England, including occasional trips to London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough LOLER inspections and PPM (training provided) to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records to track maintenance history.
  • Communicate effectively with care home staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Proven electromechanical skills with experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Full UK manual driving licence to enable travel across the region.
  • Ability to learn and follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comfortable with travel and occasional overnight stays in South West London.
  • Preventative maintenance mindset to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Customer-centric approach to provide a positive customer experience.
