Global Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Human Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of excitation, protection, and synchronizing systems for high-voltage generators and motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, commissioning, and fault-finding activities on excitation, protection, and synchronizing systems for HV generators and motors.
  • Conduct secondary injection testing on protection relays, synchronizers, transducers, and metering equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform commissioning and testing of HV generators and motors, including troubleshooting and optimizing AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) settings.
  • Interpret and analyze electrical drawings and control relay logic to facilitate system integration and optimization.
  • Conduct IR (Insulation Resistance) and Primary Injection testing to assess the integrity and performance of electrical components.
  • Perform Tan delta / capacitance testing and partial discharge testing to evaluate insulation condition and identify potential issues.
  • Utilize motor current signature analysis techniques to diagnose motor health and detect abnormalities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in commissioning & testing, generator protection, relay testing, AVR & excitation systems, commissioning and start-up, electrical troubleshooting and testing of circuitry.
  • Knowledge of medium and large electrical rotating machines (High Voltage), AC & DC motors and generators.
  • Proficiency in installation, commissioning, and fault-finding of excitation, protection, and synchronizing systems.
  • Knowledge of medium and large electrical rotating machines (High Voltage), AC & DC motors and generators.
  • Any experience in IR & PI, Tan/delta or partial discharge testing would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required for project assignments.
