About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Community Staff Nurse to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assess, monitor, and evaluate the risk management of situations and environments for patients, carers, and staff, and to deal with safety issues as identified.
  • To deliver and evaluate all aspects of clinical nursing care based on best practice, using equipment and technology to aid assessment and treatment.
  • To carry out a range of clinical duties, including dealing with body fluids, and to undertake and obtain samples for diagnostic purposes.
  • To support and educate patients and carers in promoting independence and rehabilitation, using a case management model of working.
  • To deliver care in promoting comfort for patients who are terminally ill, following recognized care pathways.
  • To have a sound knowledge base of medication and its effects on conditions, and to be responsible for appropriate and cost-effective nurse prescribing.
  • To communicate closely with patients and all parties involved in the delivery of services.
