About the Role
The Procurement Systems Specialist will support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems required for the delivery of an efficient and effective Procurement function for the Council. This includes the development of the Purchase to Pay (P2P) system, management reporting, and strategic procurement systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting reviews of compliance to Procurement/Purchasing policies and procedures and actions to address issues.
- Delivering system reports to support legislative requirements (including the Procurement Act).
- Producing reports of procurement, purchasing, and contract management performance across the council at both a local, Directorate, and Corporate level.
- Supporting the maintenance of procurement documents, templates, and guidance to ensure they remain current.
- Supporting the measurement of contract manager performance against agreed performance standards.
- Managing a contract manager network to aid sharing of issues and examples of good practice.
