Job Title: Academic and Operations Officer

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Academic and Operations Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading shifts at one of our operational sites, managing and developing a team of Area Managers, and driving operational excellence to create the Amazon of tomorrow.

About the Role

As an Academic and Operations Officer, you will be responsible for:

  1. Leading shifts at one of our operational sites, ensuring that our customers receive their items on time.
  2. Managing and developing a team of Area Managers, providing guidance and support to help them meet their targets.
  3. Driving operational excellence, analyzing shift performance against relevant business objectives, and implementing actions to improve our operational performance.
  4. Working closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security, to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  5. Designing and delivering initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance, using data and anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in a relevant field.
  2. Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management, with a strong track record of driving operational excellence.
  3. Advanced proficiency in verbal skills and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  4. Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  5. Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains.
