Job Title: CDT Administrator

We are seeking an experienced administrator to lead the administrative support for the UKRI funded Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in the Application of Artificial Intelligence to the study of Environmental Risks (AI4ER).

About the Role

The successful candidate will manage the course communications, support systems and processes to ensure the successful delivery of the programme. This will involve interacting with graduate administrators and other relevant staff in each of the departments, as well as the members of the CDT leadership team, the supervisors of individual students and the students themselves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative support for the CDT, including course communications, support systems and processes.
  • Interact with graduate administrators and other relevant staff in each of the departments, as well as the members of the CDT leadership team, the supervisors of individual students and the students themselves.
  • Play a central role in training, events and monitoring progress of the PhD students on the programme.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team but also be able to work independently with minimum supervision, taking responsibility and initiative where required.
  • Have the ability to prioritise and comfortably adapt to changing circumstances and requirements.
Requirements
  • Well-organised and able to work to deadlines at critical times.
  • Excellent communication skills, alongside administrative experience in a Higher Education environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of course administration.
