Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to join our team at Project Partners. As an Electrical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the efficient execution of electrical engineering and maintenance work to deliver excellence in plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Coordinate: Electrical physical environment at the Plant and Southam to support the objective of zero harm to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Culture Development: Create a cultural environment where all persons under your supervision look after themselves and others, including contractors, and suffer zero harm.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute as a member of the engineering & maintenance management team to formulate the plant's maintenance strategies, playing a role in the decision-making process on a continual basis.
- Labour Management: Supervise and coordinate the deployment of allocated internal or external labour and the efficient execution of the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance plan within the defined area.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Maintenance Planning Department to ensure suitable parts, labour and equipment are available to deliver the maintenance plan.
- Reliability Management: Collaborate with the Reliability Department to ensure inspection results and actions are taken to deliver reliability targets.
- Resource Optimization: Coordinate deployment of allocated labour, parts, and equipment resources to ensure all are deployed cost effectively and optimized.
- Team Management: Manage allocated maintenance technicians concerning their productivity, motivation, and discipline.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance of own staff and contractors and ensure jobs proceeding to plan.
- Reporting: Produce timely reports and analysis for the maintenance management team to assist decision making.
- Shutdown Planning: Plan and coordinate the maintenance aspects of the annual plant shutdown within the agreed structure, collaborating with other disciplines so that plant safety is ensured, reliability and efficiency is optimized in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Budget Management: Monitor the budget on a daily basis in the defined area, identifying deviations and taking corresponding corrective actions to ensure the performance is monitored and controlled to meet the agreed budgets.
- Talent Development: Motivate & develop maintenance technicians so that the required level of skill and knowledge is acquired and retained, and motivation is high.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage the full employee lifecycle for all direct reports including talent and succession management to ensure optimum maintenance team performance.
- Documentation Management: Carry out systematic checks to ensure the maintenance team is issued and archiving the correct documentation in relation to Health and Safety, the Environment, and all legal requirements in defined area of responsibility.
