Senior Project Manager Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of mechanical plants for the Water industry across the UK. They offer a range of services including water & wastewater treatment, design, fabrication, site installation, and testing.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with company health and safety policies, and developing risk assessments and method statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Compliance with Company Health and Safety Policies
  2. Ownership of Client Enquiries as directed by Line Manager
  3. Ownership of Tendering Processes
  4. Developing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  5. Developing Safe Systems of Work
  6. Framework Management
  7. Preparing, Planning and Delivering Projects
  8. Planning, Preparing & Leading Site Resource
  9. Ensuring Compliance with Client Specification
  10. Procurement of Plant, Material & Resource for Project Deliverables
  11. Client Engagement and Relationship Building
  12. Site Supervision where necessary
  13. Leadership and Commitment to meeting Company Targets & KPI's
  14. Loyalty and Endeavour to deliver Quality and Service at all times
Requirements:
  1. Experience in the Water Industry and Construction Site Environments
  2. Recognised practical qualifications (HND/Degree/Apprenticeship) and certificates (IOSH, CSCS Card, DOMS/ Water Hygiene etc)
  3. Experience working with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel and ductile iron pipework
  4. A thorough understanding of all relevant H&S regulations and risk assessments
  5. Be available for travel throughout Scotland and occasionally other parts of the UK
  6. Experience in mechanical plant repair, maintenance & refurbishment, site surveys, problem solving & troubleshooting
  7. Be familiar with pumps and drive motor removal & installations
