Abrasive Blasting Technician

We are seeking a dependable and industrious abrasive blasting technician with a solid history of delivering high-quality work to join our esteemed sheet metal fabrication partner.

Job Responsibilities:

The primary focus will be on surface preparation through shot blasting.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive hourly wage ranging from £12 to £13.

Work Schedule:

• 7 am – 4:30 pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
• Monday to Friday, with no weekend shifts.

Key Duties:

• Load components into the blasting chamber.
• Maintain the operational efficiency of the blasting area, ensuring all equipment functions correctly.
• Operate blasting machinery to clean, smooth, or shape various surfaces.
• Follow specific instructions and adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, including dust removal.
• Handle heavy components.
• Work effectively in a dusty environment.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Ability to work in a dusty setting.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in shot or sand blasting.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments.
