The Role
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to partner with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain appropriate processes for the procurement of indirect goods and services. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a procurement role and be motivated by developing and improving processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve procurement processes and stock control methods for indirect goods
- Establish and maintain mutually beneficial supplier relationships to identify opportunities and implement value adding services
- Support Capex process to ensure best practice procurement processes are followed and lead full tender process while working as part of a cross-functional team
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure appropriate service level agreements are in place throughout the equipment lifecycle to mitigate risk
- Process Purchase Requisitions on behalf of budget holders in line with internal service level
- Support vendor approval process and complete purchasing actions in a timely manner
- Approve invoices and work with Finance to resolve queries in accordance with authorized limit
- Contribute to Procurement local risk register to support site risk management process
- Respond to internal and external requests for information as appropriate
- Identify and promote opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Requirements
- Previous experience in a procurement role
- Motivated by developing and improving processes and systems
- Experience within manufacturing and/or pharmaceuticals would be beneficial
- CIPS qualification or willingness to work towards would be beneficial
Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid role, with 3 days worked on-site in Worthing and 2 worked remotely. Please note that we will only accept applications from those who live within a commutable distance.
