About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Secondary Teacher to join our team in Rotherham. As an SEN Secondary Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement individualised learning strategies to support students with a wide range of special educational needs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and colleagues to facilitate ongoing academic development.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to students who require it, creating a secure and nurturing environment.
  • Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student's educational journey.
  • Promote inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with special educational needs experience a sense of belonging and support.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience as an SEN Secondary Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with special educational needs succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
  • Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs is advantageous.
