About the Role
The Buyer's Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Buying team at Saltrock Head Office. This position is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Buying team, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Buying team, including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in the analysis of market trends, customer activity, and competitor shops to inform buying decisions.
- Support the Buying team in preparing for weekly trade meetings, including the creation of best seller reports and shipping/intake reports.
- Maintain samples, including chasing and booking in, and racking up samples with care and consideration for sign offs, range reviews, and fit sessions.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required to provide full administrative support to the Buying team.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills.
- A keen interest in product, garment construction, brand, and customer.
- Driven, resilient, and motivated individual with a passion for the fashion industry.
- Retail experience preferred, with experience in Excel and the ability to quickly learn new systems (Futura and Qlikview).
