Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Installation and Calibration Engineer to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our Machine Control Installation, Calibration and Support Team, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, and maintenance of Trimble hardware and machine control systems on construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and calibrate Trimble hardware and machine control systems on construction equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient operation.
  • Provide on-site training and technical assistance to customers and end-users on the operation of machine control systems.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Support and Application team to deliver high-quality service and support to customers.
  • Work closely with the Service & Operations Manager to ensure effective planning and execution of installation and calibration activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEMs, and dealers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • College or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulics, or Electronic Engineering or similar field.
  • Recent experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical issues on heavy equipment machines.
  • Familiarity with construction site operations using heavy equipment machine control systems is desired.
  • IOSH, RAMS, Health & Safety awareness with an up-to-date CSCS card.
  • Experience in Arc welding is useful but not essential.
  • Operation of heavy construction equipment is an advantage.
