Production Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our manufacturing team in Kidderminster, United Kingdom. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, and ensuring production targets are met in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Machinery and Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment to meet production targets.
  • Assemble Products: Assemble products according to company specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on finished products and report defects to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Production Targets: Ensure production targets and deadlines are met, working collaboratively with the team to achieve goals.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Stock Management: Assist with stock management and packing of products, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory control.
Requirements:
  • Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical fitness for manual handling tasks is essential.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve production targets.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to report defects and quality issues to the team.
