As a remote working Network Security & Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure network architectures, as well as providing expert-level support for our clients.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented engineer to work with a leading technology solution provider, supporting a diverse range of clients across various sectors. You will be working on a variety of projects, including network security, infrastructure design, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide expert-level support for clients, including troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies, and implement best practices to protect our clients' networks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and applications.
- Strong knowledge of IT security principles, including system hardening, least privilege, and segregation.
- Familiarity with network protocols, including routing, firewalling, bridging, and NAT.
- Experience with Windows and Linux servers, as well as network devices such as Checkpoint and Palo Alto.
- Proficiency in VMware (ESXi, VSAN) and HP servers.
- Knowledge of ITIL (ticketing, change management, etc.)
