Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Licensing Officer to join our team. As a Child Licensing Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and safety of young people in employment or modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement effective systems for recording, assessing, and checking on the welfare of young people in employment or modelling, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation.
- To promote the licensing process for child employment and entertainment, safeguarding the best interests of young people in the workplace.
- To deliver chaperoning and safeguarding training to neighbouring local authorities, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- To respond to enquiries from schools, employers, agencies, and the public regarding child licensing and employment.
- To assist in collecting evidence for potential legal proceedings where breach of regulations is apparent.
- To maintain links with national bodies, such as the child employment network, and other departments involved in child licensing.
Required Qualifications:
- Enhanced DBS certification.
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding and welfare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
