Job Title: Construction Liability Underwriter

About the Role:

Aston Charles Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Liability Underwriter to join its team. As a key member of the underwriting team, you will be responsible for writing Liability risks within the Construction sector, specifically for Roofers & Scaffolders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write new and renewal Employer's & Public Liability risks with premiums averaging around £5,000.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, promoting Group products in the market.
  • Attend meetings with brokers, either in person or virtually.
  • Work closely with the underwriting team to achieve business growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Experience of underwriting business for Roofers & Scaffolders.
  • Good understanding of both EL & PL insurance.
  • Flexible, 'hands on' approach to underwriting.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to trade with brokers on individual cases and overall accounts.
