We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to lead our dynamic engineering team at a leading industry player in the materials handling sector. As a Design Manager, you will play a crucial part in producing innovative design solutions for new and ongoing projects using Autodesk Inventor software.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the design team is on track with delivering 3D and 2D design work against project requirements.
- Implement KPIs, measures, and performance plans to drive team development and success.
- Allocate tasks to the design team and control the flow of design work to ensure timely completion.
- Attend department meetings to discuss active projects and prioritize workload.
- Run weekly meetings with lead engineers to identify productivity issues and areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular 121s with lead engineers to ensure they are progressing effectively against annual appraisal objectives.
- CAD software experience in both 2D and 3D.
- Enthusiasm and passion for engineering and design.
- Ability to carry out relevant engineering calculations.
- A mechanical engineering qualification.
- Proven track record in management and implementing KPIs and improvements.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- A competitive salary of £50,000 - £55,000.
