About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Safety Specialist to join our team at AVL Powertrain UK Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the functional safety of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement functional safety strategies and plans for our projects
  2. Conduct risk assessments and identify mitigation measures to ensure the safety of our products
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  4. Lead functional safety reviews and audits to ensure the quality and safety of our products

Requirements:

  1. Minimum BSc or BEng in Automotive, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering
  2. Professional engineering experience in systems or safety engineering
  3. Experience in leading and delivering functional safety activities according to ISO26262
  4. Excellent communication and project management skills
