Job Description
As a key player in Cybersecurity Engineering, you will design prototypes and support security-related infrastructure and applications. Your role will involve identifying and mitigating security risks to networks and systems while architecting, developing, and engineering enterprise security tools, which may include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or open-source solutions. You should possess the ability to quickly learn new technologies to adapt to the evolving threat landscape.

Engineering Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Architect and design new enterprise tools while upgrading existing infrastructure.
2. Operate fluidly in a Linux or other shell command line environment.
3. Provide security application support, including the development of automated scripts.
4. Create documentation as needed (such as compliance installation guides, network diagrams, configuration guides, user tutorials, and requirement specifications).
5. Research, prototype, and implement new security-related technologies.
6. Collaborate closely with 24/7 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to support their needs.
7. As a lead engineer, mentor and train other team members.
8. Assist in managing team functions and responsibilities.

Expectations:

You should demonstrate initiative, be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, possess the ability to learn quickly, and exhibit strong troubleshooting skills. You will work effectively both in a team environment and independently, showing a passion for Cybersecurity. Your work will be reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives, and you will represent the organization in addressing complex technical issues associated with specific projects. You are expected to provide strong and fair leadership, setting an example for the rest of the team to follow.
