Ecologist - Principal/Associate Director/Technical Director

Wardell Armstrong, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our successful Ecology business. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering solutions to challenging environmental problems in Property & Development, Infrastructure & Utilities, and Mining & Minerals.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly skilled Ecologist with at least 4 years of experience to manage ecological projects, assist team leads with resource allocation and financial budgets, and ensure effective communications on all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ecological projects, including producing and overseeing the production of ecological appraisals, reports, licence applications, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and other similar documents.
  • Carry out ecological surveys, where necessary, and ensure that surveys are being carried out to the required standards by all staff.
  • Assist team leads with the preparation of fee proposals and ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain would be advantageous.
  • Qualifying Member' status, or higher, of CIEEM is required.
