The Role:
As a Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Consultation and Engagement Reform team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a range of projects that focus on improving consultation with the communities we serve.
- Supporting the team with the organization of training and the internal engagement network.
- Managing our resource hub, ensuring guidance is up to date, and helping with the delivery of our important work.
- Undertaking research to support the evaluation and delivery of priority projects.
- Writing reports and adopting a continuous improvement approach to the maintenance and development of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Helping to organize meetings and take minutes, consult on plans and projects, share knowledge and best practice, and help champion our approach to improving the services we provide.
About You:
We are looking for a skilled project manager with a practical understanding of local government and experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be capable of dealing with a range of administrative tasks, including raising purchase orders, handling correspondence, and maintaining filing systems.
You should have experience of maintaining and developing processes, procedures, and information systems, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
We are looking for someone with excellent research and analytical skills, good IT abilities, and a particular focus on the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
You will also need to have strong interpersonal, negotiating, and diplomatic skills to work alongside a diverse range of people within our communities.
It is essential that you have good budget management abilities and understanding of financial reporting processes, and as we will expect you to coordinate and prioritize tasks, projects, and events, you should have strong organizational and time management skills.
Capable of handling sensitive information with tact and confidentiality, you will also be proactive, flexible, self-motivated, and capable of independent problem-solving.
