Job Opportunity: Head of Financial Accounting
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Accounting to join our team at Northern Data Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of our company.
About the Role:
The Head of Financial Accounting will be responsible for leading our accounting department, managing financial reporting, compliance, and audits. This includes delivering the Group Annual Report, driving the Group Audit, and ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports, including the Group Annual Report.
- Lead the Group Audit, coordinating with auditors and tax teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, including local financial statements.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal teams to support business objectives and drive financial excellence.
- Improve accounting processes and efficiencies to enhance financial performance.
- Work closely with international and various finance streams, including Tax, Treasury, and FP&A, as well as other senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
Requirements:
- ACA or equivalent qualification.
- 7+ years of experience in financial accounting, ideally with multi-territory businesses and consolidated accounts.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (as adopted by the EU).
- SOx control, Audit, and Big Four experience are a plus.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with international teams.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software - SAP and MS Excel.
- Tech sector and crypto interest is beneficial.
