Senior Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Physicist to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a key member of our Particle Physics Department, you will play a crucial role in the development and integration of large-scale systems, including the L0 Global Trigger and eFEX.

• Design and develop complex systems for high-energy physics experiments
• Collaborate with international teams to integrate and operate sensitive scientific instruments
• Provide expert advice on system design and performance optimization
• Contribute to ATLAS physics analysis and research and development within the trigger and data acquisition field

• Relevant post-graduate experience in physics or a related field
• Programming experience in C++ and Python
• Experience with real-time software development and programmable hardware integration
• Ability to travel internationally and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
