About the Role:
Centrica Energy Storage+ (CES+) is a vital division within the Centrica group, managing extensive natural gas storage and production facilities. Our operations span across various sites, including offshore platforms, as we strive to establish an integrated energy hub that supports the UK's energy security and transition goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical maintenance in accordance with legal standards and company engineering protocols.
- Perform maintenance on electrical equipment as outlined in the CES Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Provide technical expertise for operational risk management.
- Collaborate with terminal operations and maintenance teams during Management of Change reviews.
- Generate and submit work reports that meet established standards, actively contributing to the site's work planning and execution.
- Ensure CMMS data is accurately maintained for both Planned and Corrective Maintenance activities.
- Act as a deputy for the lead electrical technician when necessary.
- Engage in health, safety, and environmental improvement initiatives.
- Participate in a rota to deliver 24-hour support for operated assets.
- Contribute to root cause analysis to address Safety and Reliability challenges.
- Promote and exemplify the company's culture of care and safety protocols.
- Possession of a current COMPEX certificate (TECH-300-EEHA-01, Ex01 to Ex04).
- Experience in low voltage electrical maintenance.
- Familiarity with Electricity at Work Regulations (TECH-300-EAWR-01).
- Knowledge of the 18th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (TECH-300-IEE-01).
- Understanding of ATEX and DSEAR regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficient in problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and develop solutions.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance management systems.
- Background in electrical installations within the petrochemical or related sectors.
- Qualified to Higher National Certificate level in an electrical engineering discipline.
