Mathematics Instructor (Full-Time, Temporary)

Location: Harborne, Birmingham

Salary: £30,000 - £43,685 per annum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is a suitable qualification to teach Mathematics, such as a PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS.

The Role:

As a General Mathematics Cover Supply Instructor, you will be tasked with delivering engaging and effective Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of regular classroom educators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared Mathematics lessons and uphold classroom discipline in accordance with school policies.
• Adapt teaching methodologies to cater to individual student needs and learning styles.
• Effectively manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
• Assess and mark students' work when required, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure the smooth operation of the department during your assignment.

Requirements:

The successful Mathematics Instructor will possess:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Mathematics.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Flexibility to work across different schools.
• A valid DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain suitable references and hold the Right to Work in the UK.
