Job Summary

We are seeking experienced nurses and midwives to join our team as School Immunisation Nurses. As a key member of our vaccination team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality immunisation services to school-aged children.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver immunisation services to school-aged children, adhering to the Routine National Immunisation schedule

Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service delivery and support Programme Managers, Team Leads, and Clinical Leads as applicable

Attend sites across different locations as required, delivering an effective, evidence-based, and competent level of care to patients

Participate in clinical supervision, performance, and development of staff, ensuring all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are reported, monitored, and processed in line with organisational policies and procedures

Person Specification

Essential

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Working within PGD frameworks
  • Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule
  • Understanding and implementation of the principles of informed consent
  • Computer literacy
  • Cold chain, ordering, and arranging transport

Qualifications

Essential

  • Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification
