Job Title: Special Needs Secondary Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and passionate teacher to join our SEN team at Teaching Personnel. As a Special Needs Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons tailored to a range of abilities and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach across a range of subjects, adapting lessons to meet individual needs
  • Use fun, interactive, and sensory-based learning strategies to captivate students
  • Collaborate with a great team of teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create a holistic learning environment
  • Develop individualised plans and monitor progress to ensure each student achieves their full potential
  • Support the emotional, social, and academic development of our students, promoting positivity and well-being
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with Autism and MLD/PMLD (or a strong desire to learn)
  • Passion for teaching and making learning fun
  • Creativity in adapting lessons to meet individual needs
  • Strong communication skills to work with students, staff, and families
  • Patient and positive attitude when working with students with complex needs
