About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childline Practitioner to join our Twilight team. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to children and young people who contact us during late and overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support volunteers while they talk to children, using your skills flexibly to ensure a high-quality service.
  • Respond to contacts in your role as a Childline Practitioner (Twilight), providing direct support to children and young people.
  • Lead on key on-shift safeguarding decisions and use coaching to maintain and develop the quality of the service.
  • Ensure every child and young person receives a high-quality service, providing effective supervision, coaching, feedback, training, and support to volunteers.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, a 10.5% rota allowance, and a hybrid rota that includes a consistent balance of daytime, twilight, and night shifts. You will also have the opportunity to work from home and enjoy a third of your working days off-site.

  • A strong background working with children and young people within a safeguarding context.
  • A passion for supporting others, especially in situations which can be emotionally challenging.
