The role of Fundraising and Communications Specialist is a newly established position within our organization, dedicated solely to enhancing our sustainability efforts.

Position: Fundraising and Communications Specialist

Location: Remote with occasional scheduled in-person meetings

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week (flexible hours across a minimum of 4 days)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £15.87 per hour (Actual salary £24,757 - FTE £28,883)

Benefits: 4% employer contribution to pension (can increase to 6% with higher employee contributions), truly flexible working environment that values neurodiversity and caregiving responsibilities.

About the Role:

In collaboration with our Communications and Community Manager, you will play a vital role in our fundraising initiatives and communication strategies, shaping how we convey the impact of our work.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure our social media and email communications are engaging, informative, and beneficial for our community.
  • Establish relationships with trusts and grant-making organizations, crafting successful funding proposals to support our growth.
  • Enhance the communication surrounding our training offerings, illustrating to diverse audiences how our training can address their challenges.
  • Increase the number of individuals who contribute regularly by refining the donor journey and ensuring all donors understand the impact of their generosity.
  • Provide digital support and engagement for community fundraising events, ensuring that participants feel appreciated and aware of the difference they are making.

About You:

We seek an exceptional communicator and copywriter who excels at creating compelling messages for various audiences, possesses meticulous attention to detail, and is passionate about the positive change we aim to achieve as a charity. You should be capable of working independently in a remote setting, and in return, you will join a friendly and supportive team committed to your success.
