About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our Virtually Assessed Pathway (VAP) clinic team at Velindre Cancer Centre. As a VAP Clinic Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patients who are due to receive chemotherapy or Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) in the next 2-3 days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs in partnership with patients and their carers, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team.
  • Liaise and provide guidance on your area of practice to inpatient and outpatient teams when requested.
  • Act as the named nurse/keyworker for designated individuals.
  • Ensure patients receive care according to plan, delegating care to other team members as appropriate.

Requirements
  • 1st or 2nd Level registered nurse or practitioner.
  • Degree or working towards a degree.
  • NMC standards.
  • Chemotherapy awareness.
