Meat and Poultry Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Meat and Poultry Buyer to join our team at Platinum Food Partners Limited. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality meat and poultry products from suppliers within the UK and Europe.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a buyer or purchaser in an FMCG role, with a strong background in negotiation and relationship-building. You will be confident in your ability to manage your own time effectively and work independently, with excellent communication skills and a strong team player mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure high-quality meat and poultry products from suppliers within the UK and Europe
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products
- Manage and maintain accurate records of supplier performance and product quality
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of product delivery
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the procurement process
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience working as a buyer or purchaser in an FMCG role
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage own time effectively
- Driving licence (preferred)
