RGR is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our esteemed Facilities Management team. This role involves maintaining a significant commercial property, focusing on both scheduled and emergency mechanical upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance tasks according to established timelines, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurately completed and submitted promptly.
- Address and rectify any mechanical defects, adhering to safety and performance standards as per contractual obligations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on various mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Oversee the work of specialized contractors, ensuring compliance with all certification and documentation requirements as dictated by client standards.
- Collaborate with the Helpdesk to respond to urgent maintenance requests within designated timeframes.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational practices, representing the client with professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
- Possession of ONC/OND, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant technical discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a building services context.
- Familiarity with PSSR 2000, Confined Space regulations, Legionella management, and Permit to Work systems.
- Understanding of compliance with legislation and contract law is advantageous.
- Acknowledge the implications of inadequate performance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Facility Management and Building Service Engineering principles.
- Ability to establish, implement, and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Proven track record in assurance, health and safety, and environmental management.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Overtime: 1.5x for Monday to Saturday, 2x for Sundays and Bank Holidays
