About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team at Ramboll. As a key member of our Highways team, you will be responsible for leading design packages and projects, collaborating with other disciplines, clients, and site teams, and driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design teams to deliver work packages and projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and meeting client expectations.
  • Drive technical excellence and mentor junior team members to grow as highway professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Design and project management, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Act as a highways technical lead on design tasks and packages, providing expert guidance and support to team members.
  • Undertake financial arrangements for projects, including fee forecasting and change control, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
  • Apply and promote policies relating to Sustainability and Health and Safety, ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible working environment.
  • Establish relationships with individuals from other organisations, generate market intelligence, and identify new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of the company.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal Highways Engineer with a strong background in highways design and project management. You will have a degree in Civil Engineering and a good working knowledge of highways design guidance, the DMRB, and MCHW. You will also have experience in the delivery of Local Authority and/or National Highways projects, as well as experience in the use of industry-standard software and BIM procedures.
