Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team at Wrexham University.

The successful candidate will assist with the production of cold food items, including sandwiches and salads, fruit and dessert pots, wraps, and baguettes, ensuring our products meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of cold food items, including sandwiches, salads, and fruit and dessert pots.
  • Ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Serve on counters and tills, including cash handling.
  • Stock up and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service throughout.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and allergen legislation.
Requirements
  • Catering qualification preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on own initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Reliable team player.
  • DBS checks required.
