Two Rivers Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our dynamic support team. This part-time role involves 15 hours of work per week, focusing on maintaining a pristine and safe environment within our healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect patient areas, including consultation and examination rooms, as well as waiting areas.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, ensuring cleanliness of desks, chairs, and medical equipment.
- Regularly sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles and light switches.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, ensuring they are sanitised and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Manage waste disposal effectively, ensuring proper segregation of medical and general waste.
- Conduct sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping of floors throughout the facility.
- Ensure floors are free from spills and hazards to promote safety.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate with management regarding reordering needs.
- Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow established cleaning protocols to uphold a sterile environment.
- Report maintenance issues promptly, such as broken fixtures or plumbing concerns.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay informed about cleaning techniques and infection control practices.
