Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multiskilled Engineer to join our team at Graft Recruitment Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that routine Preventive Maintenance (PPM) is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
  • Arrange and plan sub-contractors PPM visits to ensure they meet the requirements of the scheduled works.
  • Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain plant in serviceable order.
  • Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works, providing parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all members of the staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance system up to date, closing out PPM and reactive jobs with accurate data captured using on-site computers/tablets.
  • Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices.
  • Supervise and monitor sub-contractors' works while they are on site undertaking maintenance.

Accountabilities:

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager.
  • Working collaboratively as part of the team.

Requirements:

  • A good basic education is essential.
  • Recognized qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC engineering.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HVAC training.
  • NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Formal health and safety training.
  • Permit Training.

Experience:

  • Comprehensive maintenance experience.
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
  • Experience in leading a team and owning full responsibilities on a portfolio of sites.
  • Experience working on a client-resident site and mobile support.

Personal Qualities:

  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Good basic written English skills.
  • Good IT skills for sending regular reports.
