About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team at Deverell Smith Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations are conducted in compliance with laws and regulations, professional standards, and accepted business practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including Data Protection, Anti-Money Laundering, and consumer protection legislation.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Compliance Training: Provide training to employees on compliance-related matters, including data protection, anti-money laundering, and consumer protection.
  • Audit and Reporting: Conduct regular audits and prepare reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Communicate complex regulatory information to non-expert colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree educated in a relevant discipline or an AML-related qualification.
  • Experience: 5 years' experience in a Risk and Compliance environment, ideally within a financial services or property-related industry.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of Data Protection and Consumer Protection legislation, AML regulations, and KYC/KYCB. Strong data analysis skills and ability to interpret data and produce reporting.
